Alpha tests

Alpha tests are typically the first round of tests you’ll do for your game. You’ll run these early on in the development phase, and they can help you identify any underlying glitches, design choices, technical issues, and more.

You’ll often run alpha tests parallel to your development phase. Engineers will use this stage to spot problems with any hardware and software failures.

How they work

With Alpha tests, you’d invite a handful of game testers to try out the mechanics, story, as well as technical aspects – while keeping a close eye on glitches or bugs.
