We’re looking for new recruits to join our ranks

We’re growing. Here are the latest roles we’re looking for, and a bit about our newest members who have joined the team.

We’ve grown a lot over the last few years. Back in 2017, we were just a couple of developers and our founders. Now, we’re equipped with a cavalry of talented engineers and crew. And we’re aiming to grow each of our departments over the next year.

Right now, we’re looking for Engineers

Multiplayer server hosting is constantly evolving. The tech behind this needs the best and brightest minds to keep it running smoothly. So we’re looking for DevOps Engineers to come aboard, who can setup CI/CD pipelines, work on our microservices, and improve our infrastructure as code (IAC).

If this sounds like you or someone you know, then get in touch. We’ll also be looking for other roles soon. So even if you can’t see anything that looks like you, get in touch anyway.

Say hello to our newest members

In the last few weeks, we’ve had a few recruits join our fold: Haythem Abouda, our business development manager, Russ Balabanov, our new software engineer, and Craig Fletcher, our COO. We’re thrilled to introduce them to you, so you can get to know them.

Introducing our resident expert in VR

Haythem studied engineering in Germany, focusing on VR – even programming a few games. In fact, he recalls he spent most of his time living inside Unity. So if you want to know the difference between the headsets out there, Haythem’s the man to ask.

After university, Haythem went on to join Solsten – a business intelligence tool focused on understanding an audience. He also founded ViralVault, helping brands to develop their TikTok presence.

Now, he’s helping grow our company and help our customers find the best solution that’s best for their studio.

“Working at Gameye is the furthest thing from boring. They have a fun and friendly culture, and there’s plenty to get cracking on with. They have a product and vision with great potential to solve an important industry problem. And it’s amazing to be a part of a company where I can make an impact.”

Welcome our latest software engineer

Russ started out as an indie game developer when he was still a student. He created a simulation game called Hacker. It was so popular at his school that he got punished for taking up too much hard drive space. He then created Project RTS, a mix between tower defence and Age of Empires.

After that, Russ went on to become a full-stack web developer for over 15 years, working on a variety of projects. But he’s always been fascinated by the infrastructure itself. Which led him to us.

“Working at Gameye has been amazing. Everyone has each other’s backs, and it’s great to know exactly what we’re aiming for. Plus, working together and having the freedom to try out new ideas makes every day feel fulfilling. Overall, I love what I do here and see endless opportunities to make a difference in this project.”

And say hello to our COO

Lastly, we’ve welcomed Craig Fletcher, Founder of Multiplay, to our crew. Originally Gameye’s first investor, he’s now joined the team to take on a more hands-on role to help us grow our business even further. You can learn more about Craig in our recent interview.
